Mobius: I’m just going to go talk to Renslayer. Alone.

Loki: Fine. I’m staying out of it.

Cue Loki casually materialising in the corner of the room mid-confrontation like, “Oh don’t mind me, Im just a decorative dagger rack”

Loki: I don’t get attached. That’s for lesser beings.

Mobius is 11 minutes late to their usual meeting time.

Loki: already convinced he’s been pruned, mourning him like a tragic widow, composing a ballad in ancient Asgardian about “a man who smelled faintly of vanilla and mid-century repression”

Mobius: Dont wait up. I’ve got a late debrief.

Loki: I wouldnt waste time waiting.

Cue to Loki literally sitting on top of Mobius’ desk, cross-legged, reading a 900-page time law book by candlelight like a Victorian ghost wife.

Mobius: I’m proud of you.

Loki, full deer-in-headlights panic, blinking rapidly: Y-you cant say things like that to me, I’m made of trauma.

Mobius touches his arm for .3 seconds

Loki, five hours later, pacing in his quarters in full Asgardian armor: I could kiss him. Not like I want to, of course, but tactically. For morale. Or espionage. Or-gods, what am I saying-what if I did kiss him? What if I’ve already kissed him in a branched timeline and forgotten it?! I HAVE TO GO FIND THAT VERSION OF ME-

exam 5 for me... tomorrow!

honestly have been feeling really nervous for this exam since my classmates have either failed it or just barely passed. and i had less time to study this time around because i rushed to book the exam.

so i drew this little encouragement early cuz i need the reminder that no matter what happens tomorrow, i did what i could and i didn't compromise on my boundaries—and that is its own victory.

and i hope that you'll be reminded to celebrate your own big and small victories too!

Hey y'know when the current moment is transcendently beautiful and meaningful and true, but you know that it is temporary and you can't help but feel existentially haunted by that fact. You know when you are experiencing beautiful heartrending art and you feel lost in the moment and then its over. You know how you'll experience art or human connection or a walk on a nice day and you know the sunlight on your skin will fade and you'll forget how it felt to be this warm.

You know in video games when there is one experience-definingly gleeful or touching or viscerally emotional moment that soon ends and leaves you with something more complicated, more doomed, more cyclical? You know? You know how it feels to dig your claws and teeth into a moment and try as hard as you can to feel it and to remember it and to make it part of yourself? Do you know??

I spent way too long rendering this. Coloring Chilchuck’s hair is like painting an autumn landscape and I appreciate that

I love love love brown hares and jackalopes being a Chilchuck thing. Why jackalope specifically it’s more complex bc it’s also tied to my indulgent cultural hc for him but if you want to you can dig through this post, for when I talk about why rabbits are so good for him & them. Though now I also associate Rabbit Hole by Deco*27 with them… In my mind they alternate as Miku in that popular animation mv for it, equality for all… Also Zombies but that’s for another day. Well. This isn't what I was expecting. But the whole thing is silly (the song, the video, the stories around the song) so I guess we should take it as what it is : a non serious episode. It has some funny moments, she teased him back as much as he did.

And the commentary on the song was funny in a way but it was like a PARALLEL UNIVERSE 🤣

I guess it would have been better to watch their facial expressions on a video.

Let's hope no one will pick this one as their 1st episode on Fail Better.

I really hope for a thoughtful, emotional episode next week because the last 3 weren't really my jam. And I don't want his podcast to end with an episode I won't appreciate 😉.

To clarify I don't know if the podcast will end after 40 episodes. It seems it was the deal (he told me that in July 2024 during the last M&G) but he may continue after that. I hope he will. Because most of the episodes were really great.

UPDATE: I have listened to it more than 3 times now and I must admit that it put a large smile on my face. So give it a chance 😉

I love problematic charles every now and then but I'm VEEERRRRRYY picky with how thats presented bc most of the time it feels like its an "either or" situation where he cannot ever be a good person and make stupid decisions and have "evil" tendencies. Its the same case with erik too but hes more easily forgiven since he's an antagonist.

Also how they make Charles evil is what makes or breaks it bc i love "hypocritical when it comes to how and when you use your mind control/you really are a control freak even when you're 'noble' about it" charles but hate "creepy to your own student(s) and unrepentant about being a control freak and not even trying to hide it in your actions. You also love the government's boots for some unholy reason" charles. (The comics can be varying degrees of this and its why i have trust issues with marvel bc idk if im gonna get a good charles or a stupid one. Also sorry for raving in your inbox i hope you're having a good day)

my favorite flavor of Morally Dubious charles is 'has good intentions overall but for one reason or another acts amorally'... i think id like a master list of stories like that if such a thing even exists ... when it's just 'he did something bad that was so obviously bad and hard to justify/consider acceptable under any lens' its not as fun ... not just for the sake of I Like Him but cause i like it when his actions have some room to be like 'alright well i guess i see what you were going for'- doesnt mean it was a GOOD action but yk what i mean.....

Lowkey/Unaware-He's-A Control-Freak-But-Under-The-Guise-Of-Doing-Good charles is also very good.. charles' psychology in those instances is very intriguing to me .... i need to crack his brain open like a walnut ....

People secretly really do love oddballs and people who do things that are out of the ordinary. There are many who stare but also many who at most are genuinely curious and ask about what you're doing and at least silently walk past you with a smile.

This post was brought on by the people of my neighbourhood, posting a snow sculpture I made on facebook saying it made their day for the 2nd year in a row.

Where I live (🇳🇱) there's very little snow these days, which only pops up around January and February in the form of something that melts instantly or can only he found lingering on cars. The people here don't really bother to build anything with that, but I like making snow sculptures so I take what I can get. As I'm making these though, I get weird looks from the people around me. They'll walk with a big bow around me, stare and make their car light up from a distance, because with a 24 year old near their car, the only reason they could think of for me being there is that I'm obviously out to steal it.

When you do something out of the ordinary, people these days are quick be wary of you. It's just how things are over here now. I once had cops approach me because I was picnicking alone and away from the more populated Picnic Place at the park!

But there are also people who really like what you do or who you unapologetically are! They'll approach you with genuine curiosity, ask what you're doing and will make some small talk! Some people are more shy with their appreciation and just walk on talking to their friend about it.

And that's when you get online and see people take a picture of their kid next to your silly little sculpture or write a heartfelt post about how despite all their frustrations such a tiny thing managed to make their day.

In the end that's what I do it for anyways :o] making something to talk and smile about

A detail I love about Farscape is that it went with a Star Trek universal translator approach to explain how our regular human protagonist can understand all of these aliens by injecting him with microbes that take over your brain (this is normal).

What makes this so fun to me is that it's brought up in different ways—my favorite being all the little cases where the translation fails on idioms and references, as it's revealed by the alien characters repeating what they heard the human say.
